Jesus was born 2,000 years ago in a town called Bethlehem in the land of Judah.
Matthew 1: 18
"This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph, her husband, was a rightous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said: "Joseph son David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
All of this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel---which means, God with us."
Jesus grew up in the town of Nazareth. He began His earthly ministry as the Son of God when He turned 30 years old, traveling from town to town teaching the world about His Heavenly Father and sharing the message of God's great love toward us.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have enternal life."
Romans 5:8
"But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us."
In order for Him to be able to make a way for us to have a relationship
with God, He had to die for all of the sins of the world.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Jesus was the Lamb that was slain. It is His blood that washes away
our sins, as the Word of God shows us. For we all sin and there has to be a price paid back to for our wrong doing (sin). So Jesus did that for all who would receive Him as their Lord and Saviour.
John 3:17
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved."
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 15:13
"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for
his friends."
Gods Word, the Holy Bible, shows us all of the things that Jesus did
for us. Jesus took the sins of the world, shed His Blood on the cross,
died and went to hell for 3 days. Then God raised Him from the dead
and He now sets at the right hand side of the throne of grace with God the Father in Heaven.
Now we can also have the assurance of going to heaven where Jesus
is if we will only believe in Him and receive Him as a free gift.
Ephesians 2:8,9
"For by grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should
boast."
Jesus loves you very much, as He showed 2,000 years ago, pouring
out His blood and becoming the sin sacrifice for the world so that
anyone could become a child of God. And He is still receiving people
every day to become children of God.
2nd Corinthians 6:2
"For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, NOW is the accepted time;
behold NOW is the day of salvation."
Below is a picture that shows our Lord Jesus on the cross. On that cross he took all of your sins.
But you still have to do something.......that is to receive the Free Gift of God, His Son Jesus.
Romans 10: 9
"...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
You do this in a prayer. All you do is say this prayer asking Jesus to come into your heart, and believe in your heart this is true and you will be saved.
Romans 10:10
"For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Now you are ready to receive the Greatest Gift, that is Life to it's fullness here on earth, and in Heaven... I want you to know this....you deserve this free gift, but you have to receive it, and after you receive it, then it's up to you to go with it all the way.
God wants you to take ALL of Jesus and have life abundantly NOW.
Pray this prayer:
Say, "Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, your one and only Son. I am here to receive the free gift that you have given me....that is the life of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and need this free gift in my life so that all of my sins will be washed away by His blood which was shed on the cross. I receive this right now, and confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe that you raised him from the dead. Now I am saved. Thank you Father God for Jesus in my life. In Him I believe. Amen!
Now you need to go and tell someone that you have received Jesus in your life. You need to get a Bible and read the whole book of the Gospel of St.John. That is where you will get to know more of Him who is living in your heart.
